- One of the news presenters for the local
news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV
during the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. this past Monday on the sixteenth day of this January (Darwin Singleton of "Local 15 Today") said their
"sister station" (WJTC-TV)* would have "coverage" of (Carnival) parades
expected to occur in their local broadcast areas between then and
the Tuesday of the twenty-eighth day of this February.
- One of the hosts of a local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles (Chasity Byrd
of "Studio 10" for WALA-TV) had used one of the segments in its broadcast this past Monday to talk about how both she and a deceased
relative of hers (her "stepdad") were honored by a Carnival
organization based in the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama named "The
Mystic Stripers" (she said the "stepdad" loved the organization and said she was honored to be their "queen" for this
calendar year in honor of him and the love he had for their organization).
- The last segment of the local news program that appeared on the main
broadcast channel for WPMI-TV during the first half of the hour of 12:00
p.m. this Tuesday ended with video of its news presenter (Darwin
Singleton) and weather reporter (Kelly Foster) appearing to speak to
each other (their voices were not audible) while two guests of theirs (a couple of radio announcers
for WRGV-FM ("1-0-7-3 KISS FM") named Matt McCoy and Greg Hill ("Gossip Greg")**) appeared to meander around the set of the program as thematic music for the program played (the one named Matt McCoy appeared to be wiping the back of the head the news presenter near the end of the segment).
(*WPMI-TV and WJTC-TV were members of the same holding (or "parent") company (the
Sinclair Broadcast Group) with the same owners and operators
(**the purpose of their being on the program was to present reviews of certain forms of entertainment (the one named Matt McCoy did so in the last segment of the program whereas the one named Greg Hill did so without him in one of its
other segments).
