News for Saturday, January 7th, 2017

• The local news program ("FOX 10 News in the Morning") and promotional videos that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. this Saturday were streamed onto their official Facebook page (a recording of the program and the promotional videos were left on the page afterwards).  

• One of the local weather reporters for the local news operation at WKRG-TV (Thomas Geboy) appeared to be doing live weather reports (specifically reports about frozen precipitation) from a part of southwest Alabama with a name similar to his own forename (Thomasville) for some of the local news programs that appeared on their main broadcast channel between the morning hours of this past Friday (on the sixth day of this January) and the morning hours of this Saturday (he later appeared to be doing weather reports on the set of their local news programs for the one that appeared on the channel during the first half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. for this Saturday).

• The member of the local news operation at WPMI-TV who usually did weather reports for their local news programs for the morning and midday hours of Monday through Friday on a regular basis in recent times prior to this calendar week (Kelly Foster was the name of the member; "Local 15 Today" and "Local 15 News at Noon" were the names of the morning and midday news programs respectively)) was doing weather reports for the one that appeared on their main broadcast channel during the first half of the hour of 5:00 p.m. for this Saturday ("Local 15 News at 5 p.m.") instead of the member who usually did weather reports for the local news programming they had on Saturday and Sunday before this calendar week in recent times (Jake Dunne).
