- A video with an animated sequence normally used to end new editions of local news programs for WKRG-TV since the previous calendar week was uploaded onto a World Wide Web site specialized in audio and video recordings named YouTube between then and this Wednesday.
- The news presenter for the local news program that appeared on the
main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 5:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of the twenty-seventh day of this past December (Renee Dials on "FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") had used the phrase, "Two thousand sixteen takes the life of" while
introducing a video of a report about a famous actor said to had died earlier that
day (named Carrie Fisher) as part of its broadcast that day.
- The local news programs that appeared on the main broadcast channel
for WALA-TV during the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on the
Tuesday of the twentieth day of this past December ("FOX 10 News at 5:00
p.m." and "FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") had a report with a member
of their local news operation (a weather reporter of theirs named Jason Smith) saying two projects of their news operation were "teaming up" to offer a
person a chance to capture fish as part of a guided tour (the names of
the projects were "Jason Smith Outdoors" and "The FOX 10 Surprise
Squad").
