- Some of the news presenters for the local new operation at WKRG-TV
had used some of their local news programming since this past Tuesday on
the third day of this January to present news
of WAVH-FM having a sale of bracelets to help provide financial support
to a policeman for the city of Saraland in southwest Alabama said to
had been recovering from an injury on her job last December.
- A series of videos (five videos in total) about the city of Paris in the
nation of France narrated by a member of the local news operation at WALA-TV (Bob Grip) dating back to the calendar year 1997 were
uploaded onto a Facebook page and a YouTube channel
attributed to him (note: as of this writing, the fourth part of
the series is not on the Facebook page (the hyperlink "Facebook" would only
take you to a still image and description of the fifth part of the
series whereas the hyperlinks between the words "were" and "and" would take you to the other parts)).
- The "new, permanent co-anchor" (or partner in news presentations)
for the "anchor" who usually presented news reports alone for the local
news program at WPMI-TV mentioned in an earlier report for this weblog ("News for Monday, January 2nd, 2017")
was also the "anchor" of the editions of the local news program that
usually appeared on their main broadcast channel during the hour of
12:00 p.m. from Monday through Friday in recent times ("Local 15 News at
Noon"*) since this past Tuesday (her partner for the local news program
mentioned in the earlier report (Darwin Singleton) was usually the only
news presenter for that program and the one for the hour of 12:00 p.m.
in recent times).
(*it was not listed in the guides to the programming of the channel for this past Monday provided by
Zap2it)
