- A national cable TV and satellite TV programming service named the NFL Network was set to have special programming about a plan to hold a football game involving members of various collegiate football teams in the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama under the name "Senior Bowl" this Saturday on the twenty-eighth day of this January.
- One of the hosts of a local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles (Joe Emer of "Studio 10") talked about their station (WALA-TV) having a new automation system (called Ignite) and "everybody" there "getting used to it" and "trying to make it work" (he said it had "glitches") while hosting the edition of the program that appeared on their main broadcast channel this past Monday on the twenty-fourth day of this January.
- A hyperlink to a World Wide Web site about a TV station located outside of southwest Alabama (in the city of Ocean Springs in the state of Mississippi) that usually provided programming to at least one of its
cable TV systems in recent times (the one in the city in Foley for a
company named Riviera Utilities)
was added to the list of hyperlinks on this weblog (the name of the
station was WXVO-LD (it used to be called WKFK-LP and WKFK-LD)).
