- A Facebook page attributed to WALA-TV had video of what appeared to had been the second half of a local news program for WALA-TV being televised through their main broadcast channel this past Wednesday on the nineteenth day of this July.
- An advertisement for the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. this past Wednesday ("WKRG News 5 at 10") and the beginning of the program itself appeared to take precedence over advertisements for national TV programs from their main provider of network programming (the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS)) on their main broadcast channel during the last three minutes of the hour of 9:00 p.m. that day.
- Some local TV programs broadcast this past Wednesday had some of their contributors talking about that day being the twentieth anniversary of the day that a certain tropical cyclone named "Danny" came to southwest Alabama (for example, the weather reporter for the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the second half of the hour of 4:00 a.m. and the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. that Wednesday (John Nodar of "WKRG News 5 This Morning") had used at least one of its weather segments for that Wednesday to talk about having been part of the local news operation for WKRG-TV by the time the cyclone came to southwest Alabama).
