News for Friday, July 14th, 2017
(note: the last parenthesized sentence in the last paragraph for the report titled "News for Wednesday, July 12th, 2017" was corrected)
- Some video of a local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles ("Gulf Coast Today" for WPMI-TV and WJTC-TV) from a camera other than one of the cameras used to produce it was streamed onto a Facebook page attributed to one of its hosts (Jake Dunne) this past Thursday on the thirteenth day of this July.
- The main broadcast channel for WEAR-TV had some video of what appeared
to be a beach with a digital graphic of its name (Navarre) and some
digital text of their name and some of the cities in their local broadcast area (including the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama and the city of Pensacola (the one they were licensed to serve) in northwest Florida) in its programming this past Thursday (a YouTube channel named "WEAR SALES" had some video similar to this one, except it appeared to involve a different beach with a different name).
- A World Wide Web site attributed to WPMI-TV had an article dated for this Friday suggesting they would have special programming about a fishing tournament in their local broadcast area (the Blue Marlin Grand Championship near the city of Orange Beach in southwest Alabama) this Saturday on the fifteenth day of this
July (it seemed to correspond with the guides to their main broadcast
channel from TitanTV and TV Guide having the name of the tournament listed for that day; even though the guides to it from Zap2it and Comcast
had the names of programs from their main provider of network
programming ("Little Big Shots: Forever Young" and "Dateline NBC" from
the National Broadcasting Company (NBC)) listed for the hours it could have this special programming (the hours of 7:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m., and 9:00 p.m. (the one named "Dateline NBC" was listed for the last two hours)).
