News for Sunday, July 2nd, 2017
(note: a parenthesized sentence with two asterisks in a previous report for this weblog titled "News for Sunday, June 18th, 2017" was corrected for clarity)
- The main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV had an advertisement claiming more people in pursuit of "gulf coast news" on Facebook pages had visited the one for WKRG-TV than any other source of its kind in its programming this Sunday.
- A video of various persons (including politicians, sheriffs, former and present members of WALA-TV, and a present member of WKRG-TV) commenting about a member of the local news operation
for WALA-TV (a news presenter and a
news reporter named Renee Dials) retiring from it by the Friday of the thirtieth
day of June for this calendar year was uploaded onto a YouTube channel
attributed to one of its other members (Lenise Ligon) by then.
- A Facebook page attributed to a member of the local news operation
at WALA-TV who usually presented news for the local news programs that had appeared on their main broadcast channel on Saturday and Sunday mornings in recent times (except the ones during the last two calendar weeks of June for this calendar year) had what appeared to be video
of her shortly before and during her appearances on the ones that appeared on
the channel on the Saturday of the first day of July for this calendar year (her name was Candace Murphy).
