News for Friday, July 17th 2015
- A recent graduate of the University of Georgia named Alexa Knowles became a news reporter for WALA-TV earlier this July.
- WKRG-TV recently had a news report with video of a local radio announcer for WAVH-FM (Sean Sullivan) talking about a plan proposed by members of a tribe to solve problems in the budget for the government of Alabama (the report had no mention of the name of the announcer or the radio
program he was hosting in the video).
- WPMI-TV had video of a cannon being used in real time to start the 82nd Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo at the the beginning of their local news programming for today (at 5:00 a.m.) while WKRG-TV only had video of the cannon as it appeared in real time immediately after it was fired at the beginning of their local news programming for today and WALA-TV only had video of the cannon being used again in real time at the start of another segment of their local news programming for today after having started about 30 minutes earlier (at 4:30 a.m.).
