from one of the authors of a former World Wide Web site named Examiner.com, specifically two sections of it that were part of its existence: "Mobile (Alabama) TV Examiner" and "Mobile (Alabama) Radio Examiner" (note: this site could have certain features that could be seen without certain programs blocking them; each period of time mentioned on this site without any indication of the time zone to which it applied was a period of time for the Central time zone of the United States)

News for Wednesday, July 29th, 2015 (amended)

The cable TV system operated by Comcast Cablevision of Mobile recently started providing programming from WALA-TV's digital sub-channel on a regular basis by today (the channel usually has programming from a national TV programming service named Cozi TV)*.

An advertisement for a position in reporting and presenting information about sports for WPMI-TV's local news operation dated July 28th, 2015 (this past Tuesday), was posted onto one of the official World Wide Web sites for their holding (or parent) company (the Sinclair Broadcast Group) since the last person to hold the position (Paxton Boyd) had left it by then.

(*amendment note: the programming was accessible through one of the cable TV channels in the system: channel 186 to be precise)
