News for Saturday, July 18th, 2015

WKRG-TV had a promotional advertisement in which the surname of their newest weather reporter (Melissa Constanzer) was misspelled appear on their main broadcast channel on a regular basis this July (it was misspelled "Constanzar").

Today's edition of WKRG-TV's local news program for Saturday mornings ("WKRG News 5 This Morning: Saturday") had a segment dedicated to an animated cartoon series originally broadcast on Saturday mornings by TV stations affiliated with the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) through their connections with the company (the name of the series was "Thundarr the Barbarian").

The sports reporter for WKRG-TV (Randy Patrick Setterstrom) identified a nephew of his (Steven Setterstrom Jr.) in a video recording of a professional golf tournament (the Barbasol Championship in Opelika, Alabama) while presenting a report about it on this past Friday's edition of their local 6:00 p.m. news program ("WKRG News 5 at 6:00") on July 17th (he said the nephew was a caddy for a player in the tournament named Robby Shelton).
