• A Facebook page attributed to WPMI-TV had a message dated for the Thursday of the twenty-fifth day of this May about one of their local news programs ("Local 15 Today") having a discussion between its news presenters (Kelly Foster and Darwin Singleton) and an analyst of politics for their holding (or "parent") company (Boris Epshteyn of the Sinclair Broadcast Group) that day. 

• Customers of the cable TV system operated by Comcast Cablevision of Mobile may or may not had received these statements concerning some of the programming feeds in the system either by physical mail or through a World Wide Web site for accessing information about their services with the system earlier this May: "Channel Lineup Update: Beginning July 1, 2017, Esquire will cease operations and will be removed from the Digital Starter package. On July 15, Universal HD (ch.208/1240) will cease operations and will no longer be available, and on or around July 15 Olympics HD Channel (1222) will be added to your lineup."

• The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. this Friday ("WKRG News 5 at 6") had its news presenters (Mel Showers and Rose Ann Haven) and one of its reporters (Joseph Blake (J. B.) Biunno) talking about a camera operators of theirs (Gary Arnold) deciding to retire from their broadcast operation this Friday and about how his decision to do so was celebrated by them this Friday (he was said to had been part of the operation for 32 years and known affectionately to them as either "Bubba" or "Big"; as for how his decision to retire was celebrated, one of them (the reporter) said it involved a party with friends and family of his).*

(*the reporter said the mayor of the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama (William Sandys (Sandy) Stimpson) gave the camera operator a "shout-out" while holding a "recent" news conference)
