News for Sunday, May 14th, 2017

• The main broadcast channel for WALA-TV usually did not local news programming during the hour of 7:00 a.m. on a Sunday since the Sunday of the second day of this past April. 

• The news presenter for the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. this past Saturday on the thirteenth day of this May (Ashley Knight of "WKRG News 5 at 10") used part of the program to present a report about a member of their broadcast operation (a producer named Olivia Stump) graduating from a university that Saturday.  

• The news presenter for the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hours of 7:00 a.m. this Sunday (Candace Murphy of "FOX 10 News at 7:00 a.m.") used the last part of the program to present images of persons she said were the ones making it happen "behind the scenes" with their mothers along with the ones she said were of her self and her own mother and its weather reporter (Matt Barrentine) with his mother (video of her doing so was uploaded onto a Facebook page attributed to her).
