- One of the news presenters for the edition of the local news program appeared on the
main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of
5:00 p.m. this Wednesday (Devon Walsh on "WKRG News 5 at 5") had attributed one one of its reports to a reporter outside of their broadcast operation (Mark Meredith) as if he were a member of that operation (she said, "News 5's Mark
Meredith is at the White House with the very latest developments"); even
the report itself had suggested he were a member of WKRG-TV ("Mark
Meredith, News 5").*
- The main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV had reports about traffic conditions in their local broadcast area from
a certain member of a local radio station in that area (Kenny Fowler of WBHY-FM)
earlier than usual in its programming for this Wednesday (it usually during the hours of 6:00
a.m. as part of a local news program named "WKRG News 5 This Morning" and during its breaks from a national network news program named "CBS This Morning"
during the last five minutes of the first halves of the hours of 7:00
a.m. and 8:00 a.m. from Monday through Friday in recent times before
this Wednesday).
- One of the news presenters for the editions of the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first
half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. this Wednesday and this past Tuesday back
on the ninth day of this May said his own name (Mel Showers) while
promoting programs expected to appear on the channel between the beginning of the hour of
7:00 p.m. and the beginning of the second of the hour of 10:00 p.m. after their broadcasts (this is what he said when he did on the edition that appeared on the channel this Wednesday: "Then join Rose Ann Haven and Mel
Showers on 'News 5' ("WKRG News 5 at 10") at ten o'clock").
