News for Sunday, April 30th, 2017
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the first half of the hour of 9:00 p.m. this past Saturday on the twenty-ninth day of this April ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") had a report about a member of their audience winning a chance to tour their broadcast facility at an auction (the "viewer" was said to had bid $500 for the chance to do).
- The main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV had special weather programming
from their local news operation and special sports programming from
their main provider of network programming (the National Broadcasting
Company (NBC)) in two separate boxes
at the same time with audio for the weather programming taking
precedence over the one for the sports programming this Sunday.
- The main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV did not have a local news
program follow the special sports programming it had from their main provider of network programming this past Saturday in spite of one of the announcers for the sports programming telling its audience to "stay tuned"
for either their "local news" or a program named "NBC Nightly News" (the program that actually followed was an episode of a syndicated TV program named "Two and a Half Men").
