News for Friday, May 18th, 2018

  • A certain Internet video stream (for an Internet video service named Livestream) that often appeared to have had local news programs for WALA-TV in recent time was often unavailable since the hour of 9:00 a.m. for the Thursday of the seventeenth day of this May. 
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. this Friday ("WKRG News 5 at 6") appeared to have had a report regarding a certain member of the council for the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama (a certain Gina Gregory) involving phrases such as, "As a former journalist here at WKRG, she's not afraid to speak up".
  • A local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV during the second half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. on the Thursday of the seventeenth day of this May ("Gulf Coast Today") appeared to have had one of its hosts (Jake Dunne) saying, "It's Thursday and it's time for our weekly update with Delta" while having a digital graphic with text of "Delta the Service Dog update" and its other host (Terra Reeves) saying, "Delta has been a busy girl learning her new trick and we caught it on video yesterday. So let's take a look; here it is" immediately afterwards. 
  • The broadcast channels for WKRG-TV (including their main broadcast channel and three digital sub-channels) each appeared to have had no programming for several minutes during the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. this Friday (note #1: a Facebook page related to WKRG-TV appeared to have had live video of a local news program of theirs that was usually part of the programming for the main channel during the first half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. from Monday through Friday in recent times ("WKRG News 5 at Noon") while the channel appeared to had been without any programming during that period of time this Friday (note #2: the video stream for the program appeared to have had a certain person discussing the stream itself during those breaks).
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the hour of 5:00 a.m. this Friday ("WKRG News 5 This Morning") appeared to have had a certain video involving audio of an announcer saying, "Tuesday on News 5: thousands have been following Baby Destiny -- News 5's Chad Petri and his family open up about their special-needs daughter and the medical issues she faces" and, "Tuesday at ten" with video of a certain person saying, "People with special needs need love" between the parts of it with those announcements at the beginning of one of its segments for its broadcast in that period of time this Friday (note: a video similar to the one that appeared on the channel appeared to had been uploaded onto a Facebook page related to a certain member of the news operation for WKRG-TV named Chad Petri afterwards this Friday).
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the twelfth day of this May ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had audio of its news presenter (Shelby Myers) saying, "Speaking of the safety for you and your family: a reminder that this is the time of the year when snakes are coming out, so you may find one right in your front yard", and "Truly an emotional story, and we want to offer our condolences for Pursley and his family at this time" for some of its reports (transcript of report: "And a special memorial was held today at Battleship Park to honor a former-legged hero; a service dog who was the first to be buried in a new section of the park with full military honors. His name is Hank. Hank was a combat dog. Vietnam War veteran Lloyd Pursley of Mobile adopted him last year. Hank developed cancer of the kidneys and lungs and died in March. He was an explosive detection dog who survived or served rather multiple tours in Kuwait. Pursley had been a combat tracker dog handler in Vietnam and he says this burial means a lot to him").
