News for Monday, June 11th, 2018 (amended)

- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Friday of
the eighth day of this June ("WKRG News 5 at 10") appeared to have a
digital graphic with text of "FOLEY HOUSE FIRE" over the shoulders of
one of its news presenters (Peter Albrecht)
as he appeared to had been saying, "A house fire catches fire in Mobile
this evening" for one of its reports before appearing to have had a
certain video with digital graphics involving texts of "HOUSE FIRE ON
BROSSETT STREET" and "COVERING MOBILE" before appearing to have had
audio of the same news presenter saying, "Another fire -- this one in
Foley overnight" for a separate report while appearing to have had a
certain video involving digital graphics involving texts of "OVERNIGHT
HOUSE FIRE" and "COVERING FOLEY".
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel
for
WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Thursday of the seventh day
of this June ('FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m." ) appeared to have had one of
its news presenters (Lenise Ligon) saying, "Well a crazy story from
North Carolina tonight", the other news presenter (Bob Grip)
saying,
"Yeah, listen to this: a pizza shop employee is behind bars and facing
charges after police say he put rat poison into the cheese at the shop",
and the news presenter mentioned earlier, "And that poisoned cheese was
not
used -- it's because the restaurant's general manager knew something
wasn't right. Here's the story" immediately afterwards before appearing
to have had a certain video with a report involving details similar to the aforementioned statements attributed to them (note: the program appeared to have
the news presenter named Lenise Ligon saying, "Wow!" and the one named
Bob Grip
saying, "Hmm" immediately after appearing to have had that video).
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Friday of the eighth day
this June ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its
news presenters (Lenise Ligon) saying, "All right, speaking of Fortnite,
a YouTuber has shown how a glitch in the game let him return
to....Spawn Island. Landing on the island, by the way, is like a long
cherished goal for Fortnite players -- it's where they gather before
each round of the survival game starts. We posted a video showing how he
got there, too -- I tweeted that link just for you Michael", one of
its reporters (a weather reporter named Michael White)
saying, "Heh,
Right, I appreciate that -- never even heard of that game. I don't even
know--", audio of a distant voice involving the words, "Huh! You never
heard of Fortnite" immediately afterwards, and the reporter saying,
"I'd never heard of Fortnite. I promise. The
last game I ever played was, uh, the original Halo; back in the early
two thousands. Sunrise time, five fifty. Sunshine to start your Saturday
-- storms come later. Lenise and I will talk gaming -- and we'll talk
weather right after you see this" immediately afterwards before having
one of its breaks from appearing on the channel in that period of time
that day.
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WALA-TV during the hour of 5:00 p.m. this Monday ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of
its news presenters (Lenise Ligon) saying, "All right, a programming
note now to pass along to keep in mind there later this week", the other
news presenter (Byron Day) saying, "Yeah, on Thursday and Friday, there
will not be a newscast at four or five o'clock over the air. The U-S
Open* will be on during those times, but only for those two days",
immediately afterwards, and the news presenter mentioned first saying, "You can
catch a quick ten-minute recap on Facebook Live at five o'clock both
days -- and of course be sure to tune in those nights at nine o'clock
for an hour and a half of your most local news" immediately afterwards
while appearing to have had video of some digital graphics involving texts of "PROGRAMMING NOTE", "NO 4P/5P NEWSCASTS THURSDAY & FRIDAY",
and "FACEBOOK LIVE AT 5PM" and a certain graphic with text of "US
OPEN" appearing below the graphic itself (note: some guides to the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV from
some World Wide Web sites named Zap2it, TitanTV,
and TV Guide each appeared to have had mentions of "Golf" in their descriptions of a "U. S. Open" for the Thursday
of the fourteenth day of this June and and the Friday of the fifteenth
day of this June whereas the aforementioned graphic appeared to had been a logo for a series of tennis tournaments named the "U. S. Open" (update for Tuesday, June 12th, 2018: the local news program that appeared on the channel during the hour of 5:00 p.m. this Tuesday ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") appeared to have had some video similar to the video mentioned earlier with a different graphic appearing in the same spot that appeared to have had the one described as having been a logo for a series of tennis tournaments named the "U. S. Open" earlier in this paragraph)).
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel
for WALA-TV during the hour of 5:00 p.m. on the Friday of the eighth day
of this June ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of
its news presenters (Lenise Ligon) saying, "More tragedy to report:
Another celebrity death to report this week -- Anthony Bourdain
committed suicide -- the sixty-one-year-old's close friend found him
unresponsive in his hotel room this morning. Bourdain was in France
working on an upcoming episode of his series 'Parts Unknown'. CNN, in a statement, said Bourdain's love of great
adventure, new friends, fine food and drink, and remarkable stories of
the world made him a unique storyteller. His talents never ceased to
amaze us and we will miss him very much. The suicide rate across the
country is going up -- this is according to a recent report from the
C-D-C. It is now the tenth leading cause of death and one of just three
leading causes on the rise. Keep in mind when it comes to suicide you

"Well some shocking news from France today", its other news presenter
(Byron Day) saying, "Yeah. Famed chef Anthony Bourdain found dead -- he
apparently committed suicide -- this story up next" immediately afterwards before
one of its breaks from appearing on the channel in that period of time
that day; the news presenter mentioned first saying, "Another shock in
the entertainment world -- famed chef Anthony Bourdain died from an
apparent suicide; the news of his death coming in the same week as
fashion designer Kate Spade. FOX News correspondent with the latest now
from New York" for the part of it that appeared on the channel in that period of time afterwards immediately before appearing a had a certain video for a certain report with digital graphics
involving texts of "ANTHONY BOURDAIN DIES AT 61" and "COMMITTED
SUICIDE"; and the news presenter mentioned second saying, "The C-D-C says suicide rates
across the country are increasing. It's now the tenth leading cause of
death and one of just three leading causes on the rise. Remember, you're
