News for Tuesday, June 12th, 2018
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Sunday of the tenth day of
this June ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had a certain video
for one of its words in which some its graphics appeared to had
involved text of a word that was not part of the report itself or any
other part of the video ("SHANTARA").
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel
for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Friday of the eighth day
this June ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its
news presenters (Byron Day) saying, "Who would bring up Tom and Jerry?"
immediately after appearing to have had a certain video involving a
certain person saying, "Tom and Jerry cartoons", and its other news
presenter (Lenise Ligon) saying, "My husband would -- he loves Tom and
Jerry and I totally [indistinguishable]" afterwards.
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the eleventh day of this June
("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its reporters
(a weather reporter named Matt Barrentine) saying, "Here's what it looks
like tomorrow morning when you wake up -- it could be a couple of
coastal showers -- pretty cool start of the day, which is typical
Then....that pot starts bubbling once we get past lunch time -- this
very humid air is just like a pot on the stove that is supposed to
bubble in the afternoon as it heats up and then more of these showers
and storms will be firing off here throughout the afternoon" for a
report related to weather.
- The last part of the local news program that appeared on the main
broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 12:00
p.m. this Tuesday ("WKRG News 5 at Noon") did not appear to
have had any video with audio of an announcer saying, "WKRG aerial
footage sponsored by Greene and Phillips" like the last parts of other
installments of it that appeared on the channel in this period of time
from Monday through Friday in recent times (the last part of the local
news program program that appeared on the channel during the first half
of the hour of 5:00 p.m. later this Tuesday ("WKRG News 5 at 5")
appeared to have had such video (update for Wednesday, June 13th, 2018:
the last part of the installment of the program named "WKRG News 5 at
Noon") that appeared on the channel during the first half of the hour of
12:00 p.m. Wednesday appeared to have such video)).
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Thursday
of the thirty-first day of the month of May for this calendar year
("WKRG News 5 at 10") appeared to have had one of its reporters (a
sports reporter named Randy Patrick Setterstrom) saying,
"Well the BayBears will soon get a new name and home. Ball Corp. LLC,
owner of the, uh, BayBears announcing today that the, uh, company has
received approval from Minor League Baseball to move the team up north
to Madison, Alabama beginning in the twenty twenty season. Madison will
start a name-the-team contest next month -- how about the
BayBears? Ha ha, the, uh, BayBears, by the way, are last in attendance
in the league so far this Southern League season -- averaging just over
eleven hundred fans a game. How about this: Birmingham leads the
league again; they are averaging almost sixty five hundred fans a game
up in Birmingham -- they love their southern league baseball. ".
- A certain TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that
appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of
9:00 a.m. on the Tuesday of the twelfth day of this June ("Studio 10")
appeared to have had one of its hosts (Joe Emer) saying, "There will be
some programming changes over the next three weeks -- so just want to
let you know -- this is the first time we're telling you -- 'Studio 10'
will not air this Thursday or Friday due to our World Cup coverage" and
its other host (Asha Staples*) saying, "Yeah and we won't be on air
Saturday or Sunday either -- so, for those of you who wake up with
myself or Matt Barrentine, we won't be there**" immediately afterwards
(*note #1: she was not usually a host for previous installments of the program that were part of the programming of the channel in this period of time in recent times (**note #2: both she
and the Matt Barrentine mentioned in the second paragraph from the top of this report were usually part of certain installments of some local news
programs of theirs that were part of the programming in recent times, specifically the ones that were part of its programming during the hours of
6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday during those times (note #3: the name of the person who was usually a host for those previous installments with the one named Joe Emer was Chasity Byrd))).
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the ninth day of this June ("WKRG News 5 at 10") appeared to have had audio of its news presenter (Jason Carter) presenting a report in which the words, "Thankfully, no one was injured" were part of its narrative, and audio of laughter for a part of it involving video of a certain person appearing to fall while appearing to have audio of one of its reporters (a sports reporter named Robby Baker) saying, "Now Justify was graceful in his win, [but in this case, Jason] --
sports are hard, guys, all right -- don't laugh, this is kind of sad, especially the steeple chase -- the N-C double A championships --
Houston's Brian Barraza was running away with this until he hit this
obstacle -- oh no* -- Brian didn't make it over the final
hurdle -- he was in first by a ton and he ends up losing it -- right
there -- he has almost stuttered, and he goes down. Sports are hard -- we
uh, we send our best to Bock -- to Brian. He was like half a
track in front of everybody. He got nervous, he got a little -- I don't
know -- I feel bad, though. Brian, we'll think about you" (note #1: it appeared to have had video of the news presenter saying, "Yeah, I feel bad for laughing at him him too, Robby", the reporter saying, "I was laughing; we'll have to lie for him" immediately afterwards, and the news presenter saying, "We were laughing, we were definitely laughing with him" immediately afterwards (note #2: other installments of the program involving the aforementioned news presenter and reporter that appeared on the channel in this period of time on Saturday and Sunday in recent times often appeared to have had laughter for the parts they had related to sports (*note #3: the words "oh" and "no" were stressed))).
