News for Wednesday, June 6th, 2018
- "The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel
for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Wednesday of the
thirtieth day of the month of May for this calendar year ("FOX 10 News
at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had audio one of its news presenters
(Lenise Ligon) saying, "Wow, some people freaking out today after a
chemical scare in Mobile led to evacuations in Chickasaw" and "Good to
see you and we have a lot of talk about tonight".
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Saturday
of the second day of this June ("WKRG News 5 at 10") appeared to have
audio of its news presenter (Jason Carter)
saying, "Coming up: You know what a good news story? Two teen siblings
risk their lives to help a family and now they're being honored for
their selflessness" within fifteen seconds of one of its breaks from
appearing on the channel in that period of time that day.
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 11:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the second day of this June appeared to have audio of its news presenter (Shelby Myers) saying, "Wow" between parts of a report presented by her, audio of her saying, "Just hot, hot, hot" immediately after having a report related to weather from one of its reporters (a weather reporter named Adam Olivier), and audio of her saying, "Hopefully it's just a small fire they can get out pretty quickly" and audio of the reporter saying, "Absolutely" immediately after having presenting a report involving the word "fire".
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel
for
WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. on the Saturday
of the second day
of this June ("WKRG News 5 at 6") appeared to have had its news
presenter (Jason Carter) presenting a report in which the word "heroes"
was used to reference some of its subjects and some reports in which the
words
"CBS Forty-two (or "CBS42")" and the letters "K-H-O-N" were used to mention some
"sister" stations of their (note: the local news program that appeared
on the channel during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. later
that Saturday appeared to have had the same news presenter presenting a
similar report that also had the word "heroes" being used to reference
some of its subjects (note #2: it did not have any mentions of "CBS Forty-two" or "K-H-O-N" (note #3: CBS42 was a nickname of a TV station with the same owners as WKRG-TV (named WIAT-TV) whereas the letters "K-H-O-N" were part of the name of another TV station with the same owners as WKRG-TV in recent times (named KHON-TV)).
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. on the Friday of
the first day of this June ("WKRG News 5 at 6") appeared to have had a certain video with a
report involving the words, "Hopefully all of
these students will crochet a blanket one day and continue a hobby that
Missus Spafford has enjoyed all these years"; one of its reporters (a
weather reporter named Thomas Geboy) saying, "Well it's the first day of
June, meaning it's the first day of the two thousand eighteen Atlantic
hurric--hurricane season officially, even though we've all ready had
Albert, but thankfully the tropics, Caribbean, gulf of Mexico, the
eastern Atlantic -- everything nice and quiet and everything expected to
be nice and quiet as we go through the weekend" for a report related to
weather, and one of its other reporters (a sports reporter named Randy Patrick Setterstrom) saying, "All right, any truth to the rumor that you
made a sizable donation to South Alabama and the new football
stadium's going to be the Mel Showers Arena? (Mel Showers (one of the news presenters for the program): There's no
truth to it) Or how about a donation for a suite? The Mel Showers Suite?
(Mel Showers: There's no truth to it) Or how about a Mel Showers seat --
well, anyway, we'll work on you. We'll need some people to step up and
donate some money; the board of trustees giving a thumbs up for the new
on-campus stadium. Stay tuned for that".
