News for Monday, June 4th, 2018 (amended)

(note: the paragraph directly below this sentence and one of the paragraphs for the previous report for this weblog ("News for Sunday, June 3rd, 2018") were amended after they were originally published)
  • The broadcast frequency for WHIL-FM (one of the radio stations in the radio network for Alabama Public Radio) had no programming at certain times during the morning hours of the third day of this June (note: it was either silent or full of static during those times). 
  • A certain Facebook page related to WALA-TV appeared to had been used by its administration to post text of, "It appears we’ve been struck by lightning and aren’t on air right now. Watch us here" with video of the set of a news program of theirs on the Sunday of the third day of this June. 
  • The main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV appeared to had been set to have a certain news program of theirs named "NBC 15 News at Noon" whereas the main broadcast channel for WJTC-TV appeared to had been set to have certain syndicated program named "2017 Blackberry Farm Pro-Am Classic" within certain periods of time in which their programming feeds usually appeared to had involved a certain program of theirs dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles named "Gulf Coast Today" from Monday through Friday in recent times this Monday (the second half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. for the first channel mentioned; the second half of the hour of 5:00 p.m. for the second channel mentioned (note #1: WPMI-TV and WJTC-TV were related to each other due to their having been members of a company named the Sinclair Broadcast Group by this Monday in recent times (note #2/update for Tuesday, June 5th, 2018: the channel for WPMI-TV appeared to have had the program named "Gulf Coast Today" during the second half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. this Tuesday)).
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 5:00 p.m. on the Thursday of the thirty-first day of the month of May for this calendar year ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its reporters (a weather reporter named Jason Smith) doing reports of a certain ribbon being cut behind him and his being on a pontoon boat in addition to reports related to weather (note: the local news program that appeared on the channel during the hour of 9:00 p.m. that Thursday ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had video of the ribbon cutting with digital graphics involving texts such as "RIBBON CUTTING" and "OFF THE HOOK MARINA & GRILL/CHICKASAW" and audio of the reporter saying, "And this was at Off the Hook Marina in Chickasaw right there at Highway Forty-three and it was a nice time inside and outside; we had a chance to go out on the water on a pontoon boat live for the 'FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.' and it was a beautiful scene there. We had a few rain drops when things tried to get started there, but a rain stayed off and it was a great time.").
  • The last part of the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. on the Friday of the first day of this June ("WKRG News 5 at Noon") appeared to have had its news presenter (Jason Carter) saying, "All right, folk, we're going to take a look right now -- um, at some bees -- um, because just a little while ago -- where was it, Texas --"; one of its reporters (a weather reporter named Taylor Sarallo) saying, "Yes" immediately afterwards; the news presenter saying, "Yeah, they've -- look at that! Good gracious"; the reporter saying, "It looks like snow" immediately afterwards; the news presenter saying, "Those are all bees! I can't believe that! So this truck overturns on a highway in Texas and then all of a sudden...there are bees everyone" immediately afterwards; the reporter saying, "Wow! That is absolutely crazy. I would not want to be on the side of the road during that. Ehh" immediately afterwards; the news presenter saying, "No, but I mean -- hey, there --there's honey to be made there" immediately afterwards; the reporter saying, "There sure is" immediately afterwards; and the news presenter saying, "Wow -- well, we--we apologize for that. We were kind of all over the place there, but, you know what, we're going to be on Facebook Live in just a bit with Doctor Ledet, so we hope you'll be able to join us in just a little while. Thanks".
