- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. this Friday ("WKRG News 5 at Noon") had a special video with various members of the broadcast operation at WKRG-TV along with relatives of theirs reciting different parts of a poem originally named "A Visit from Saint Nicholas" (the news presenter for the program (Bill Riales) referred to the poem as "Twas' the Night Before Christmas" while introducing the video on the program).*
- The local news programs that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. and during first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. this past Thursday on the twenty-second day of this December ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m." and "FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.") had a special video with static images of various members of the local news operation at WALA-TV along with relatives of theirs (the news presenter for the programs (Lenise Ligon) said the purpose for showing the video was to help members of their audience "get into the Christmas spirit" while introducing it on the program for the hour of 9:00 p.m. before one of the breaks in its broadcast before saying she (and possibly other persons since she was the word "we") just wanted to show her colleagues and their families while introducing it on the other program near the end of its broadcast).
