- According to the official World Wide Web site for a new national TV programming service named Comet, WFGX-TV was set to have programming from the service the day it was set to begin (Saturday, October 31st).
- WPMI-TV had video of a resident of their local broadcast area being told she had won a car and a news reporter of theirs (Darwin Singleton) interviewing her immediately afterwards in their local news programming today (it was part of their local midday news program: "Local 15 News at Noon").
- The news presenters and weather reporter for WKRG-TV's local news program for the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. ("WKRG News 5 This Morning") used parts of today's edition of the program to design pumpkins (the names of the news presenters were Bill Riales and Avery Cotton; the name of the weather reporter was John Nodar).
