- The Entertainment and Sports Programming Network (ESPN) was set to have special programming about a collegiate football expected to happen in Mobile next Tuesday, October 13th (you may access the programming through the cable TV programming service ESPN2).
- According to WKRG-TV, they did not have any collegiate football programming from the American Sports Network on their digital sub-channel for broadcasting programming from Memorable Entertainment Television (Me-TV) this past Saturday, October 10th, in spite of the guides to the channel's programming from TV Guide and Comcast having had listings for such programming by then.
- The color of the scenery for the pages of the official World Wide Web site for WKRG-TV (blue) was changed to pink in honor of this October having been declared National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by the president of the United States (Barack Obama) (note: parts of the home page for the official World Wide Web site for WALA-TV were changed for the same reason before the changes to the site for WKRG-TV).
