- WALA-TV had less news programming than usual this past Friday, October 16th, due to their main broadcast channel having network programming about a live baseball game during their regular time period for Friday editions of their local 9:00 p.m. news program ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") and their plan to have a program about recent high-school football teams in their local broadcast area on the channel afterwards ("First and 10") (note: they usually had local news programming between 10:00 p.m. and 10:05 p.m. on Fridays before having programming about local high-school football games between 10:05 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. during the current high-school football season. As for this past Friday, they had local news programming between 10:35 p.m. and 10:46 p.m. before having local high-school football programming between 10:48 p.m. and 11:09 p.m.).
from one of the authors of a former World Wide Web site named Examiner.com, specifically two sections of it that were part of its existence: "Mobile (Alabama) TV Examiner" and "Mobile (Alabama) Radio Examiner" (note: this site could have certain features that could be seen without certain programs blocking them; each period of time mentioned on this site without any indication of the time zone to which it applied was a period of time for the Central time zone of the United States)
