- The main broadcast channel for WFNA-TV had two comedic TV programs ("The Jeffersons" and "Gimme a Break!") appear more horizontal than they were meant to appear on TV screens in their programming today (they were displayed in the wrong picture format or aspect ratio).*
- One of the hosts for WALA-TV's local entertainment and lifestyle program (Joe Emer of "Studio 10")
used part of its broadcast for today to make digital portraits of his
self and some of its guests with a computerized telephone (he used the word "selfie" in reference to the portraits).
- WALA-TV had an live interview with a local radio host in their local news programming between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. today (he was part of their broadcasts from Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile about a collegiate football game that was expected to occur there today; as for his name and station, it was Chris Smith of WNTM-AM (he had appeared as his alter ego for his radio program for WNTM-AM: Uncle Henry))
(*WFNA-TV usually had episodes of "Gimme a Break" appear in their correct picture format on their main broadcast channel before this calendar week whereas they usually had episodes of "The Jeffersons" appear more horizontal on the channel before this calendar week)
