News for Monday, June 12th, 2017

  • The main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV appeared to have had problems in its presentation of one of their local news programs ("Local 15 Today") during the first half of the hour of 5:00 a.m. for this Monday (it usually appeared blank for much of that time period with only some parts of the program and part of what appeared to be a weather report for a separate program during the times it did not appear blank).
  • A Facebook page attributed to WPMI-TV had a message attributed to one of its visitors dated for the Saturday of the tenth day of this June about whether certain folks ("kids") could tour their broadcast facility or not and a message attributed to its administration dated for the Sunday of the eleventh day of this June about how these folks could tour the facility (some Facebook pages attributed to WALA-TV and WKRG-TV each had the same message attributed to the same visitor dated for the same Saturday (neither one of them had a response to it)).
  • A World Wide Web site attributed to WPMI-TV had an article dated for this Monday about their local news operation having a new partnership with a company specialized in radio (named iHeartMedia) to provide news reports and weather reports to a group of radio stations operated by a subsidiary of the company based in southwest Alabama for their broadcast operations (the name of the subsidiary was iHeartMedia Gulf Coast; the names of the stations operated by them were WNTM-AM, WKSJ-FM, WMXC-FM, WRGV-FM, and WTKX-FM).*
(*WPMI-TV (along with WJTC-TV (their companion station)) used to be part of iHeartMedia with the radio stations when it was called Clear Channel Communications).
