- The live video stream for WKRG-TV had programming for a national cable TV and satellite TV programming service (the Entertainment and Sports Programming Network (ESPN)) during the morning hours of this Thursday (it usually had (live or recorded) local news programs for their main broadcast channel before then).*
- Earlier this calendar week, the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV had a video about some weather reporters for their local news operation (John Nodar, Alan Sealls, Melissa Constanzer,
and Thomas Geboy) talking about giving away umbrellas named after a law
firm based in their local broadcast to members of the public (one
of the reporters had mentioned the name of the law firm ("Greene & Phillips")
while doing so (it was also mentioned by an announcer
(named Jeff Davis) near the end of the video ("Sponsored by Greene &
Phillips")).
- WKRG-TV, WEAR-TV, and WPMI-TV each had special programs about what appeared to be a live news conference about an investigation of a case
of murder in their local broadcast area take precedence over having national network news programs from their main providers of network programming ("CBS This Morning" from the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS), "Good Morning America" from the American Broadcasting, and "Today" from the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) respectively) by the beginning of the second half of the hour of 8:00 a.m. for this Thursday before having special network programs about a former member of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (the FBI) during the hours of 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., and 11:00 a.m. for this Thursday.
(*the stream occasionally had a graphic with a logo for WKRG-TV and the
words "We'll Be Right Back" between some of the programming for this programming service)
