News for Monday, August 28th, 2017 (amended)

(amendment note: some of the text in the fourth paragraph below this message was linked to an image of the video described in that paragraph)
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the second half of the hour of 5:00 p.m. on the Sunday of the twenty-seventh day of this August* had one of the news presenters for their local news operation talking about a national TV program (named "The Great Food Truck Race") involving one of the cities in their local broadcast area (the city of Pensacola in the state of Florida).
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV between the first and second halves of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the twenty-sixth day of this August ("WKRG News 5 at 10")** had one of the weather reporters for their local news operation (Thomas Geboy) talking about a video he said was from a "sister station" of theirs (WIAT-TV*** in the city of Birmingham in the central part of the state of Alabama) while having some of the video itself for one of its segments about weather.
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV during the first half of the hour of 5:00 p.m. this Monday ("Local 15 News at 5 p.m.") had audio and video of a person saying a certain profane word with meanings such as excrement from a bull and nonsense while being interviewed by a member of their local news operation (Nicole Fierro) for what appeared to had been a live interview from a remote location in the city of Cleveland in the state of Texas (she had pulled the microphone she was holding in the interview with him away from his face immediately after his saying of the word while he was still speaking before bringing it back around his face again while he was still speaking).****
(*the channel was usually set to have one of their local news programs ("WKRG News 5 at 5") during this time period before having a national news program from their main provider of network programming ("The CBS Weekend News" from the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS)) during the second half of it on Sunday in recent times)

(**the program began appearing on the channel a few minutes later than when it was usually set to begin appearing on the channel in recent times due to some special programming (about a professional football game) it had from their main provider of network programming before then)

(***WKRG-TV and WIAT-TV had the same owners due to their being members of a company named the Nexstar Media Group)

(****the video was interrupted by video of one of the news presenters for the program apologizing for the language of the interview before a break in its broadcast)
