• The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. this past Friday on the eighteenth day of this August ("WKRG News 5 at 6") had one of its news presenters (Mel Showers) claiming a crew for a national TV program named "Sea Rescue" was "filming" some pelicans that were part of a news report for the program. 

• A YouTube channel named "Randy Buffington" had some videos about a certain person who usually appeared on some of the local TV stations based in southwest Alabama promoting a company specialized in furniture also based in southwest Alabama (the person was known by the names Tommy Buffington and T. Buff (a shorter version of Tommy Buffington)); as for the name by which the company was known, it was the Hoffman Furniture Company). 

• The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. this past Friday ("WKRG News 5 at 10") and the one that appeared on it during the hour of 5:00 a.m. this Saturday ("WKRG News 5 This Morning") had some members of their local news operation telling their audiences they might recognize the name "Taloney" from some reports they had about an incident involving a person named Taloney before telling them he was "the brother-in-law" of another member of the operation also named Taloney   (the program that appeared on the channel during the first half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. this Saturday had its news presenter mention this connection while telling its audience about the news presenter talking about the status of the person involved in the incident whereas the program that appeared on the channel during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. later this Saturday ("WKRG News 5 at 10") had the same news presenter present an update about him in which the news presenter was not mentioned at all).
