(update for Wednesday, August 23rd, 2017: a new historical feature (a special article) was added to this weblog ("The Story of 'T. Buff' (Tommy Buffington)") and the reason for the asterisk in the third paragraph below this sentence was added to the bottom of this report)
- The main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV had some special news programming from their local news operation in place of its regular programming for a few minutes during the hour of 11:00 a.m. this Tuesday.
- One of the sports reporters for the local news operation at WKRG-TV (Randy Patrick Setterstrom) had used some of their local news programming for the Monday of the twenty-first day of this August to talk about some plans for one of their local news programs to have a new type of "show" about football in their local broadcast area (under the name "Friday Night Football Fever") on a weekly basis beginning with the Friday of the twenty-fifth day of this August (including a special set for its broadcasts and a start time of ten minutes after 10:00 p.m. for its broadcasts (that would be about five minutes earlier than the one for the last series of shows it had football in their local broadcast area in recent times (they usually had the word "sideline" in their names))).
- The main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV had a video with an announcement about a plan for it to have regional programming from a provider of syndicated programming (Raycom Media) about a certain football game involving professional football teams from the city of New Orleans in the state of Louisiana and the city of Houston on the Saturday of the twenty-sixth day of this August before having a video similar to it with the exception of it being the main broadcast channel for their companion station (WFNA-TV)* possibly having such a game that Saturday (note: the guides to the main broadcast channel for WFNA-TV for the second half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. and the hours of 7:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m., and 9:00 p.m. for that Saturday from Zap2it and TitanTV seemed to reflect that video whereas their guides to the one for WKRG-TV for the same time periods for that Saturday with the exception of the second half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. seemed to suggest it could have national programming about a different football game involving a different set of teams (from the city of Los Angeles in the state of California) from their main provider of network programming during those hours.
(*WKRG-TV and WFNA-TV had the same owners due to their being members of the same holding (or "parent") company (the Nexstar Media Group))
