- A Facebook page attributed to a business based in the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama named Sign Pro had a message (along with some static images) attributed to its administration dated for the Saturday of the twelfth day of this August about some members of the business having developed a "backdrop" for WKRG-TV.
- Some of the news presenters for the local news operation at WKRG-TV had said some reporters of theirs were in parts of the state of Alabama outside of their local broadcast area for what appeared to had been live reports (about certain candidates for the election mentioned in the previous paragraph) from those areas in their local news programming this past Tuesday (the reporters outside of the area included the ones named Hayley Minogue in the city of Birmingham and Emily DeVoe in the city of Montgomery).
- The local news programs that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. this past Monday on the fourteenth day of this August ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m." and "FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") had one of their news presenters talking about a plan for the program it had during the hour of 9:00 p.m. to have a "30-minute special" about a certain type of event expected to occur on the Monday of the twenty-first day of this August (a solar eclipse) during the first half of that hour on the Sunday of the twenty-first day of this August.
