Commentary: A profile of a passionate reporter and a comparison of reports related to sports for a certain TV station (amended)

  • Some of the local news programming WKRG-TV had on their main broadcast channel in recent times appeared to have had a certain reporter of theirs (a sports reporter named Robby Baker) expressing strong feelings related to sports and certain colleagues of his (specifically other members of the news operation at WKRG-TV) in parts of them related to sports in recent times (for example, the local news program it had during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the seventeenth day of this February ("WKRG News 5 at 10") appeared to have had audio of this reporter saying, "Anytime somebody puts up thirty-two runs at a baseball game, I am going to mention it", "I am also going to be honest to all of you at home; I just like saying 'Chanticleers'; it's a very fun mascot", "For every two--yen, there is a yang; the Jags softball tournament in Starkville for the February freezer tournament; two games today against Murray State and Mississippi State; cue Thomas Geboy's happy dance. Bulldogs were a winner; the Jags were not; they dropped both games in the softball doubleheader", and "Sadly I was stuck here in the office most of the day; so I wasn't able to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather, but I did get to spend the day in the office with some beautiful people. Awwww, and we all got to watch Pensacola's Bubba Watson play some beautiful golf" (note: one of the weather reporters for the program was named "Thomas Geboy")).
