News for Thursday, February 8th, 2018

  • A Facebook page attributed to WPMI-TV appeared to have had a message attributed to its administration dated for the Tuesday of the sixth day of this February concerning outages with an image of a logo for WPMI-TV.  
  • The main broadcast channel for WALA-TV occasionally had videos of advertisements with announcements of "fewer interruptions" for a local news program that was usually part of its programming during the hour of 5:00 p.m. from Monday through Friday in recent times ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.) since the month of January for this calendar year.
  • The local news programs that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of the sixth day of this February ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.") had a video of a report involving the words, "The LaShe's decided to postpone tonight's parade because of the rain. FOX 10 was first to spread the word" and audio of a certain person saying, "I found out from you--from, from this news channel. Thank you, FOX 10, for letting us know" immediately after having those words.  
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of the sixth day of this February ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.") had audio of one of its news presenters (Bob Grip) saying, "And...at starman, this is the--what's left of...it's a uh--sports car with what looks like an astronaut inside, but it's a dummy and it's on its way into the solar system" and graphics with with text of "VIEWS FROM SPACE" and "SPACEX FALCON HEAVY STARMAN" over some of its video between having one of its breaks from appearing the channel in that period of time that day and having audio of its other news presenter (Lenise Ligon) presenting a report regarding a subject unrelated to what the first news presenter mentioned was saying with video that was also unrelated to what that news presenter was saying (it also had audio of the first news presenter saying, "And the chance of no rain in outer space; there you see star man behind the wheel; it's a look at the Earth on again; have a good night, everybody" during the last few second of its last segment).
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the sixth day of this February ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Lenise Ligon) saying, "It's a story that's sure make you smile; that stolen American flag raised in honor of a fallen American soldier is back where it belongs tonight and it's thanks to a viewer who saw that story on 'FOX 10 News' last night", its other news presenter (Bob Grip) saying, "Our Lee Peck joins us at the Sky Ranch neighborhood where the flag is flying high tonight. Lee, your story paid off big time", immediately afterwards, and one of its reporters saying, "Well it certainly did, Bob and Lenise. If you would have asked the family last night, they would have told you the flag was good as gone; we were even making arrangements to replace it, but today tears turning into smiles as their loved one's flag is once again flying high" immediately afterwards whereas the program that appeared on the channel during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. that day ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.") appeared to have had the second news presenter mentioned saying, "Well it's a story that's sure to make you smile. That stolen American flag raised in honor of a fallen American soldier is back where it belongs and it's all thanks to a viewer who saw this story on FOX 10 News last night", the first news presenter mentioned saying, "And our Lee Peck is joining us live at the Sky Ranch neighborhood where the flag is flying high tonight. Lee, I guess you could say your story paid off big time" immediately afterwards, and the same news reporter mentioned earlier saying, " It certainly did, Bob and Lenise. If you would have asked this family last night, they would have said the flag is good as gone; they even had plans to replace it, but today tears turning to smiles and joy as their loved one's flag is once again flying high" immediately afterwards.
