News for Tuesday, February 20th, 2018

  • Some of the local news programming WKRG-TV had on their main broadcast channel in recent times occasionally had a horizontal image appearing vertically (or "sideways") on a monitor set in a vertical position immediately after having it appearing horizontally over their video feed for the programming ("full screen").  
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the second half of the hour of 9:00 p.m. and the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the seventeenth day of this February and the one that appeared on it during the hour of 6:00 a.m. on the Sunday of the eighteenth day of this February ("FOX 10 News at 6:00 a.m.") each appeared to have had their respective news presenters (Shelby Myers for the first one; Asha Staples for the second one) using the words "precious couple" in reference to a certain couple while appearing to introduce a video of a report concerning a couple of persons
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on the Sunday of the eighteenth day of this February ("WKRG News 5 This Morning: Sunday") appeared to have had audio of its news presenter (Chad Petri) referring to a news program of theirs by a name not normally used in reference to the local news programming it had in recent times ("News 5: Early Edition" (note: this was how it was used, "Be sure to join our TV pals Ashley Knight, Thomas Geboy, and Robby Baker later tonight for 'News 5: Early Edition', then also for 'News 5' at ten o'clock")) 
  • The last part of the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the first half of the hour of 7:00 a.m. on the Sunday of the eighteenth day of this February appeared to have had a static image with some text of "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASHA!!!!" immediately after having some video with graphics relater to weather with audio of its weather reporter (Matt Barrentine) saying, "That's your seven-day outlook and a big...happy, happy birthday to some--somebody who is going to be looking at her birthday coming up tomorrow" and video of its news presenter (Asha Staples) appearing to say, "Yeah, I'm glad those rain chances are kind of pushed toward Tuesday rather than Wednesday, so thank you for that, Matt--" before having audio of her saying, "--Aww, thank you, guys; you guys got me; I usually get you guys. Thank you for spending your Sunday morning with us here with us on 'FOX 10 News'. We will see you again for more news and weather coming up at the news at nine" and audio of the weather reporter saying, "Happy birthday!" with the image near the end of it immediately afterwards.
