News for Sunday, February 4th, 2018

  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Friday of the second day of this February ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.) appeared to have had audio of its news presenter (Bob Grip) saying, "Well 'tis the season; Mardi Gras* really picking up steam tonight as we get closer to Fat Tuesday* and FOX 10 News got into the action. Have to admit, I'm a little bit jealous; Lenise, Chasity, Michael, Hal, Lee, and Elizabeth all had a great time in the jubilee city tonight. They're on the FOX 10 News float in the Apollo's Mystic Ladies parade". 
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Sunday of the twenty-eighth day of this January ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had video report narrated by a member of a national cable TV and satellite TV programming service ("Molly Line, FOX News) involving a subject identified by her as "Alvin Grantham of Mobile, Alabama" and graphics involving texts of "MOBILE MAN FEATURED IN PHOTOS" and "ALVIN B. GRANTHAM" after having one of its news presenters (Lee Peck) appearing to introduce it and attribute it to her.  
  • A local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Friday of the second day of this February ("Studio 10") had one of its hosts (Chasity Byrd) saying, "The Hungry Girl is produced by the parent company of FOX 10 (a nickname for WALA-TV often used for purposes of branding programming of theirs in recent times), the Meredith Corporation; um, lots of good magazines out there of course--we do the Magnolia Journal as well, Meredith does, and--and this one and the newest edition and it looks pretty good" after having a certain video involving a certain person (Lisa Lillien) referring to her self as "Hungry Girl". 
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Friday of the second day of this February ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.) appeared to have had one of its reporters (Alexa Knowles) saying, "Mobile police chief Lawrence Baptiste starting to sound like a broken record urging gun owners to keep their guns out of their cars and locked up" before having a video of a report related to what she was saying whereas the one that appeared on it during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. that day ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.") appeared to have had her saying, "Mobile police chief Lawrence Baptiste starting to sound like a broken record urging gun owners to keep their guns locked up and out of their cars" before having what appeared to had been the same video mentioned earlier.  
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Friday of the second day of this February ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.) appeared to have had its news presenter (Bob Grip) saying, "All right, next, a story that is guaranteed to make you feel good tonight: Bri MacNaught talks with a young man with a message for all of us; that is on the other side of this break; don't miss it" before one of its breaks from appearing on it in that period of time that day whereas the one that appeared on it during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. that day ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.") appeared to have had audio of the same news presenter saying, "Next, a story guaranteed to make you feel great; Bri MacNaught talks with a young man with a message for all of us. It's on the other side of this break; don't miss it". 
(*the words "Mardi Gras" were French words for "Fat Tuesday")
(**A Facebook page attributed to WKRG-TV appeared to have had live video of the person being interviewed by a member of the news operation at WKRG-TV who was usually a news reporter for the program named "WKRG News 5 at 5" in recent times (Joseph Blake (J. B.) Biunno)).
