News for Friday, February 2nd, 2018 (amended)

  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of the thirtieth day of this January ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.) appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Bob Grip) saying, "Ok, how about senior pictures with a side of fries?" before having part of a certain video for a certain report involving such pictures before one of its breaks from appearing on the channel in that period of time that day before having more of the video after that break.
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Wednesday of the thirty-first day of January for this calendar year ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") had audio of one of its news presenters (Lenise Ligon) saying, "FOX 10 News once again thrilled to participate in this parade; I'll be on the float with some familiar faces Friday, so be sure to come out and say hello and, of course, catch some cool FOX 10 swag" after presenting a report related to a certain group specialized in parades. 
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of the thirtieth day of January for this calendar year ("WKRG News 5 at 10") appeared to have had video of a reporter (Devon Walsh) using the phrase, "It is hard to believe" while presenting one of its reports, specifically this one: "When you look at this eighteen wheeler that turned into a huge fireball on the Interstate, it is hard to believe that two people walked away from this: the truck driver and a sheriff's deputy who was caught up in the crash".
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of the thirtieth day of January for this calendar year ("WKRG News 5 at 10") had audio of one of its reporters (a sports reporter named Randy Patrick Setterstrom) saying, "We have a big game tailgate special that will air Saturday first on the CW at 1:30 then again right here on News 5 at 6:30"  while having a graphic resembling texts of "THE BIG GAME" and a separate graphic involving texts of "Tailgate Special", "Saturday", "1:30 pm", "6:30 pm", and some logos for WKRG-TV and WFNA-TV (note #1: the main programming feed or broadcast channel for WKRG-TV was occasionally referenced as "News 5" whereas the main programming feed or broadcast channel for WFNA-TV was usually referenced as "The Gulf Coast CW" and occasionally "The CW55" in some of the local news programming WKRG-TV had on their main broadcast channel in recent times (note #2: WKRG-TV and WFNA-TV were related to each other due to their being members of a holding company named the Nexstar Media Group)). 
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the twenty-seventh day of January for this calendar year ("WKRG News 5 at 10") appeared to have had audio of its news presenter (Ashley Knight) saying, "Oh my goodness...I'm...I'm not sure what to say after that... I'm... speechless...we'll have a last look at your weather right when we come back" after having its sports reporter (Robby Baker) describing a certain piece of video along with the video itself (the reporter was saying this, "And Bruce Pearl this afternoon auditioned for a fight in the UFC. If you don't believe me, take a look at this video here, ok. Bruce Pearl coaching up the guys on the sidelines and hello --clocks Jared Harper in the face, look at it in slow motion doing the cha cha slide and then...wah bam--it's ok, though, Harper's fine, everyone's ok, I think they kind of laughed it off, but, dah, you got to watch what you're doing on the sideline there, coach, you know, with the tight corners there, going a little crazy with the little shuffling there, look at Harper, everyone's ok, like I said, though, but this video...it was going crazy on the Internet.)
