News for Friday, March 23rd, 2018 (amended)
- A Facebook page related to WFNA-TV appeared to had been used to stream live video of a tour of a facility related to WKRG-TV on the Wednesday of the twenty-first day of this March (note: both WFNA-TV and WKRG-TV were related to each other due to their being members of a holding company named the Nexstar Media Group).
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WALA-TV during the hour of 5:00 p.m. Wednesday of the
twenty-first day of this March ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") appeared to have had music over a certain part of one of its reports
and one of its news presenters (Bob Grip) describing a certain story as "amazing" (note: the program that appeared on the
channel during the hour of 9:00 p.m. later that day ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") also appeared to have had this news presenter appearing to do so ("A really
amazing story here in Mobile you'll only see here on FOX 10 News").
- The main broadcast channels for WPMI-TV and WJTC-TV appeared to have had
programs that were not usually part of their respective programming
plans for the second halves of the hours 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. for Monday through Friday in recent times this Friday (the channel for WPMI-TV appeared to have had a program named "The Wharf Boat & Yacht Show" whereas the channel for WJTC-TV appeared to have had a program named "George to the Rescue" during the aforementioned periods of time this Friday;
as for what was usually part of their regular programming plans for the aforementioned periods
of time for Monday through Friday in recent times, both of them usually appeared to had involved a program named "Gulf Coast Today" during those times).
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. on the Wednesday
of the twenty-first day of this March ("WKRG News 5 at Noon") appeared
to have had video of one of its reporters (Joseph Blake (J. B.) Biunno)
saying, "Well coming up at twelve thirty on WKRG Facebook Live
we're talking about a freak accident near Pensacola: a flick of a
cigarette leaves a twenty-four-year-old engulfed in flames -- his life
changed forever -- so get out your phones, go to the WKRG Facebook page
and just in a couple of minutes we'll go more in depth of this surreal
story. 'News 5 at Noon' will be right back" immediately before one of
its breaks from appearing on the channel in that period of time that day.
- The local news programs that appeared on the main broadcast
channel for WKRG-TV during the first halves of the hours of 9:00 a.m.
and 12:00 p.m. on the Friday of the twenty-third day of this March
("WKRG News 5 at 9" and "WKRG News 5 at Noon") each appeared to have had their news presenter (Devon Walsh) describing one of its reporters (a weather reporter named Taylor Sarallo) as their "brand new meteorologist" (note: a certain Facebook page related to WKRG-TV appeared to have had been used to stream live video
of her introducing her self with another reporter (a weather reporter named John Nodar) before having her presenting information related to weather (update for Saturday, March 24th, 2018: the local news program that appeared on the channel during the hour of 5:00 a.m. this Saturday ("WKRG News 5 This Morning") appeared to have had an animated sequence with an announcer saying, "Now, Taylor Sarallo with your first alert weather" before having her presenting other information related to weather (note: the sequence had no music like the animated sequences that usually preceded certain reports related to weather from other weather reporters for some of the other local news programming that was part of the programming of the channel in recent times (update for Sunday: March 25th, 2018: the local news programs that appeared on the channel during the first halves of the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. that Saturday ("WKRG News 5 at 6" and "WKRG News 5 at 10") each appeared to have had a different version of the sequence involving music)).
