News for Saturday, March 3rd, 2018

  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the second half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. on the Wednesday of the twenty-eighth day of the month of February for this calendar year ("WKRG News 5 at 6:30 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Rose Ann Haven) introducing a certain Brie Jackson onto the program as a "D. C. correspondent" of theirs (she had used the word "our" immediately before saying, "D. C. correspondent") without stating whether this Brie Jackson was a member of the news operation for WKRG-TV before having them appearing to interact with each other from separate locations in separate digital boxes.
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the first day of this March ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Bob Grip) saying, "And the launch of a new weather satellite was a real blast. We'll take you to the lift off" whereas the one that appeared on it on it during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. that day ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.") appeared to had their other news presenter (Lenise Ligon) saying, "Last year we had the most active hurricane season since Katrina -- our Alexa Knowles asked country leaders about that" without explaining the part of it involving the word "Katrina".
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 5:00 p.m. on the first day of this March ("WKRG News 5 at 5") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Devon Walsh) saying, "That was a very powerful message from that mother" immediately after having a video of a report involving a mother whereas the local news program that appeared on the channel during the first half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. that day ("WKRG News 5 at 6") appeared to have had one of its own news presenters (Rose Ann Haven) saying, "To politics now: President Trump sounded more like a democrat than a republican at a White House meeting on gun reform" before having a video of a report related to this president whereas the local news program that appeared on the channel during the second half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. that day ("WKRG News 5 at 6:30") appeared to have had her saying, "Precious fella" immediately after having its other news presenter (Peter Albrecht) presenting one of its reports.
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Wednesday of the twenty-eighth day of February for this calendar year ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Bob Grip) saying, "We're taking a look back at one of our favorites surprises on the FOX 10 Surprise Squad --  it seems like everybody wants to go fishing with our very own Jason Smith" and the other news presenter (Lenise Ligon) saying, "And one person got the chance to do just that: here's a look back at our surprise fishing trip with Jason (note: she appeared to had laughed while saying "Jason)" immediately afterwards before having a video involving graphics resembling text of "FOX 10 SURPRISE SQUAD" and a person with a graphic involving text of "JASON SMITH" over it" and some video of the first news presenter mentioned saying, "Now remember if you'd like to nominate someone for a surprise, head to fox10tv.com forward slash surprise" and the second one mentioned saying, "And then make sure to tell us why you think they deserve a surprise; let us know what they do for their family, friends, and community".
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of the twenty-seventh day of February for this calendar year ("WKRG News 5 at 10") and the one that appeared on it during the second half of the hour of 6:30 p.m. on the Wednesday of the twenty-eighth day of that February ("WKRG News 5 at 6:30") each appeared appeared to have had one of their news presenters (Rose Ann Haven) referring to a certain reporter as a political reporter of theirs  without any mention of whether he was a member of the news operation for WKRG-TV or not before having a video of a report involving a person appearing to refer to his self by the name she appeared to had been using in reference to him (note #1: the news presenter appeared to had said, "Our Alabama political reporter James McConatha tells us more" before the video on the first program whereas the second program appeared to have had her saying, "Our political reporter James McConatha is in Montgomery" before the other video (note #2: the endings for both videos had a person saying, "In Montgomery, I'm James McConatha reporting for WKRG News 5")).
