News for Friday, March 2nd, 2018

  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 5:00 pm. on the Wednesday of the twenty-eighth day of the month of February for this calendar year ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its reporters (a weather reporter named Jason Smith) in a remote location speaking of having caught a "bass" during a "commercial break" for a part of it related to weather.
  • A Facebook page attributed to WAVH-FM appeared to have had a message attributed to its administration dated for the Wednesday of the twenty-eighth day of February for this calendar year concerning WAVH-FM and a radio program named "What's Working with Cam Marston" (a Facebook page related to the program it self appeared to have had a message from its own administration dated for that Wednesday concerning WAVH-FM itself). 
  • Some of the local news programming WKRG-TV had on their main broadcast channel on the Wednesday of the twenty-eighth day of February for this calendar year appeared to have had members of their news operation discussing a certain effort of theirs to collect donations for the family of a recent member of the department of police for the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama (a Facebook page attributed to WKRG-TV appeared to have have had some live videos of the effort in addition to the channel). 
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Wednesday of the twenty-eighth day of the month of February for this calendar year ("WKRG News 5 at 10") appeared to have had one of its reporters (a sports reporter named Randy Patrick Setterstrom) presenting a report related to the sport of basketball involving a nickname of a national TV programming service normally used for the programming of one of the digital sub-channels for WKRG-TV ("Me-TV" for Memorable Entertainment Television) and a nickname normally used for the programming of the main broadcast channel for WFNA-TV in recent times ("CW55") for a part of it related to sports in general (this was the part of the report in which they were mentioned: "Now we have two last chances tomorrow in class 7A; the McGill-Toolen girls and boys will square off against Sparkman High School tomorrow morning -- the championship games will be televised live on Me-TV Friday and Saturday; now the 6A and 7A title games in boys and girls will be televised live Saturday on CW55" (note #1: the digital sub-channel for the service appeared to have had programming related to the sport unrelated to the service earlier this Friday and this past Thursday back on the first day of this March (note #2: "CW55" was a nickname for WFNA-TV itself (note #3: WKRG-TV and WFNA-TV were related to each other due to their being part of a holding company named the Nexstar Media Group)))).
