News for Wednesday, March 28th, 2018

  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hours of 5:00 p.m. on the Monday of the twenty-sixth day of this March ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Bob Grip) showing and discussing a certain object in connection to reports of their broadcast operation having been honored in a certain way at a certain awards banquet (note: the honor involved the words "station of the year").  
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 5:00 p.m. on the Wednesday of the twenty-eighth day of this March ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Bob Grip) welcoming a certain person to their news operation (note: a Facebook page attributed to the one who appeared to had been welcoming that person appeared to have had a recording of his doing so with a message attributed to him regarding that person dated for this Wednesday).
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of the twenty-seventh day of this March ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.") appeared to have had video of its news presenter (Bob Grip) saying, "Now when you think of civil rights, activist Linda Brown should come to mind" before presenting a report involving the words "Linda Brown" and audio of his saying, "It's a great opportunity for those on spring break to check out the crew in action" immediately after presenting a different report.   
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. on the Wednesday of the twenty-eighth day of this March ("WKRG News 5 at Noon") appeared to have had its news presenter (Joseph Blake (J. B.) Biunno) shouting, "Woo-hoo!" before saying, "It's time to announce our next Lunch Bunch winner, everybody. Yeah, it's that time of day. Today's winner Gordon Fent from Semmes. Gordon getting a free lunch for two courtesy of Catfish Junction. To be a lunch member, register at WKRG.com. We're going to announce our next winner next Tuesday right here on News 5 -- I mean, I get really excited about that kind of stuff" immediately afterwards.  
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Monday of the twenty-sixth day of this March ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had its news presenter (Bob Grip) saying, "New tonight at nine: Google is phasing out those annoying auto-play ads" for one of its reports and the words "thank you" for some reports related to their broadcast operation (such as, "Hundreds of people came out on Saturday for the annual Cajun cook-off in downtown Mobile -- FOX 10 News as usual was one of the big sponsors and we won the people's choice awards; thank you" and, "And some other really exciting news to tell you about tonight: the FOX 10 News team won big at the Alabama Broadcasters ABBY Awards in Birmingham this past weekend. We took home seven awards Saturday night, including 'station of the year'. Our general manager, Gary Yoder, took a moment to say thank you ... And besides station of the year, FOX 10 News also won awards for our investigative reports and in the news feature category; so thank you").    
  • The main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV appeared to have had special news program from their news operation (concerning reports of a certain "package" (similar to one of the reports on a World Wide Web site of theirs)) from their news operation at a time in which it was usually set to have a national news program from their main provider of network programming named "CBS This Morning" in recent times on the Tuesday of the twenty-seventh day of this March (note #1: the name of the provider was the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS) (note #2: the time in which the channel had this special news program was the hour of 8:00 a.m. for this Tuesday (note #3: the special programming appeared to have had a member of their news operation (Bill Riales) referencing the programming of the channel during the first and last ten seconds of the time in which the channel had the special news program ("Good morning, everyone, I am Bill Riales. We are breaking into our regular programming this morning to bring you breaking news from Pensacola" and, "We will return you to your regular programming, more details coming up this morning on 'News 5 at Nine with News 5's Devon Walsh; that's just in a few minutes -- for now, I am Bill Riales, here is your regular programming back" respectively)))).
