- The live video stream for WKRG-TV had their local TV news programming for the first time since this past Friday (December 26th) today between 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m.
- The high-definition versions of WKRG-TV's main programming feed and the CBS Sports Network's programming feed in the cable TV system operated by Comcast Cablevision of Mobile were in each other's regular high-definition cable TV channel position for a few hours today between 7:00 a.m. and 11:35 a.m. (the regular channel for the high-definition version of WKRG-TV's main programming was 1005; the regular channel position for the high-definition version of the CBS Sports Network's programming was 1721).
- The news presenter on today's edition of WPMI-TV's local morning news program (the name of the news presenter was Darwin Singleton; the name of the program was "Local 15 News") made the following comment during his presentation of a report about revenue generated through Internet streams for a new movie titled "The Interview": "Thank
you, North Korea" (he was referring to news reports about the
government of North Korea being held responsible for
Internet threats involving the movie against movie theaters in the
United States that were originally set to show the movie until their plans were cancelled as a result of the threats).
