• Last Sunday's edition of WALA-TV's local 9:00 p.m. news program ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.) had parts of a new interview with a prolific movie producer and actor named Mario Van Peebles that was described as "exclusive" by one of its news presenters (the interview was about Mario Van Peebles' plans for making a movie in Mobile next spring). 

• WFGX-TV recently broadcast an advertisement with Matt McCoy of WRGV-FM (107.3) in a Santa Claus costume promoting a contest in which a resident of the radio market for WRGV-FM may win a trip to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, along with tickets for attending a concert expected to take place there on the Sunday of December 21st if he and she were to watch WFGX-TV's local news programming between now and this Friday, December 12th, for information he or she would need for entering the contest.
