• Today's edition of WKRG-TV's local morning news program ("WKRG News 5 This Morning") had a rendition of a poem titled "A Visit from St. Nicholas" (its author was named Clement Clarke Moore; it was also known as " 'Twas the Night Before Christmas") involving employees of WKRG-TV and relatives of theirs in accordance with WKRG-TV's annual tradition of having such a rendition. 

• This past Tuesday's (December 23rd) editions of WALA-TV's local 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. news programs ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m." and "FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.) each had a live weather radar and live videos of stormy weather in their local broadcast area appear in a small box superimposed above the logo for their local news programming.

• According to the TV programming guides for WKRG-TV from Zap2it, TitanTV, and TV Guide, they would have Christmas episodes of the TV programs titled "That Girl", "Make Room for Daddy", "The Donna Reed Show", "The Loretta Young Show", and "The Doris Day Show" on their main broadcast channel (radio frequency channel 27-1/virtual channel 5-1) between today and the next day (Thursday, December 25th; also known as Christmas Day) during time periods in which it usually had other programs from Monday through Friday (this includes their local morning news program and "The Late Late Show", a national network variety program from the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS)).
