- WALA-TV and WFNA-TV* had a syndicated TV program titled "Happy Holidays America" broadcast within one hour of each other this past Sunday, November 30th (WALA-TV had it broadcast between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.; WFNA-TV had it broadcast between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.).
- WEAR-TV's main broadcast channel (radio frequency channel 17-1/virtual channel 3-1) had a paid commercial program in place of the program it usually had between 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. from Monday through Friday (the syndicated entertainment news program titled "Extra") as part of their programming this past Monday, December 1st.
- According to some Twitter messages attributed to one of the news presenters for WALA-TV's local news programming (Lenise Ligon), she had a chest cold while presenting news for their local 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. news programs ("FOX 10 News at 4:00 p.m." and "FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") this past Monday (the pitch of her voice was lower than usual due to the chest cold).
*WALA-TV and WFNA-TV are members of the same company (LIN Media) with the same broadcast facility in Mobile.
