- This Saturday's edition of "The Kim Komando Show" (a nationally-syndicated weekly radio program about digital technology) had a conversation with a person identified as being from Mobile ("Kevin from Mobile, Alabama") who asked the host of the program (Kim Komando the person) by telephone about whether his MacBook Pro computer had a spyware program or not after suspecting that a former colleague of his for a software company had learned how to contact him by telephone through such a program since his computer was provided by the software company.
- According to the TV programming guides for WKRG-TV from Zap2it, TitanTV, and TV Guide, their main broadcast channel was set to have two syndicated episodes of the comedic TV program titled "The Andy Griffith Show" and a special live syndicated TV program to be called "It's a MoonPie New Year!" (it would feature a celebration of the coming of the next calendar year expected to take place in Mobile's downtown area) take the places of the network programs it usually had between 10:30 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. from Monday through Friday ("The Late Show with David Letterman" and "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" respectively) next Wednesday, December 31st, and have the editions of the network programs expected to be on their live network feed during that time period broadcast later the next day (Thursday, January 1st) between 12:05 a.m. and 1:07 a.m. (the edition of "The Late Show" to be on the feed next Wednesday would be broadcast first).
