News for Monday, December 8th, 2014

• As of this writing, the official World Wide Web site for WKRG-TV's sixth "Great Toy Drive" has live video of the room for storing toys collected from the drive (the room is located in WKRG-TV's broadcast facility in Mobile).

• The weather reporter for WKRG-TV whose tone of voice was lower than usual in their local news programming during the previous calendar week due to an illness he had that week was able to use his regular tone of voice in today's edition of their local morning news program (the news of the weather reporter was John Nodar; the name of the news program was "WKRG News 5 This Morning").  

• According to WALA-TV, the reason they did not have the local public affairs program "Rise & Shine" in their programming this past Sunday, December 7th, was due to the folks responsible for providing an edition of it for them to broadcast being late in doing so by the time period in which they would have had it broadcast (between 6:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.) in accordance with their regular programming plans for Sunday ("Rise & Shine" was usually part of those plans as part of the time period mentioned previously).
