- WFNA-TV had a programming feed (from a national TV programming service named Raycom Sports) for a live football
game involving one of the football teams for one of the high schools in
their local broadcast area (Bayside Academy in Daphne, Alabama) take the
place of a nationalized programming feed (from a national TV programming service named Bounce TV) for a
theatrical movie ("Bébé's Kids") before the end of its presentation on
their digital sub-channel this past Thursday, December 3rd (the game was
part of a series of championship football games that took place in Tuscaloosa, Alabama that day).
- WKRG-TV had an update
to a report they had in their local news programming last Friday, November 27th, about a person suspected of stealing Christmas
decorations in which he was referenced and compared to a fictional
character named "the Grinch" that had more references and comparisons to
the character in their local news programming this past Thursday,
December 3rd (for example, the report began with an illustration of the
character standing in front of a type of chart normally used to measure
incarcerated persons with a sign displaying his name, the words "grand
larceny" and "Whoville PD", two sets of numbers ("19571966" and "12-18-1966"), and the letters "DOB").*
(*the numbers "19571966" may had been used in reference to the years in which the
first publication and
first TV program about the character became available to the general public (1957 and 1966 respectively); the numbers "12-18-1966" may had been used as the "date of birth" for the character while also referring to the date of the first broadcast of the TV program about him (Sunday, December 18th, 1966)).
