- Some of the news presenters for WKRG-TV on recent editions of their local news programs used the phrase "thanks to" while citing a poll conducted for them as one the reasons why organizers for a yearly festival of music called "BayFest" decided to plan another one for Mobile's down-town area rather than another location for the first time this calendar year since most of the results in the poll appeared to favor the idea of having another one in the down-town area smaller than previous ones rather than one in a different location about the same size as previous festivals. I wish those news presenters had not used that phrase since it made them sound unobjective and proud to have had a poll of their very own make news of their very own when they should only be presenting facts without either their own personal feelings or the personal feelings of their colleagues or bosses.
from one of the authors of a former World Wide Web site named Examiner.com, specifically two sections of it that were part of its existence: "Mobile (Alabama) TV Examiner" and "Mobile (Alabama) Radio Examiner" (note: this site could have certain features that could be seen without certain programs blocking them; each period of time mentioned on this site without any indication of the time zone to which it applied was a period of time for the Central time zone of the United States)
