• A camera operator for WKRG-TV did a live news report by telephone about the helicopter that crashed in the waters of Santa Rosa Sound near Florida within their broadcast area this past Tuesday, March 10th, on this Wednesday's edition of their local morning news program (the name of the camera operator was Randy Lowe; the name of the news program was "WKRG News 5 This Morning").

• The main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV (radio frequency channel 27-1/virtual channel 5-1) recently had a promotional advertisement with the regular news presenter and regular weather reporter for WKRG-TV's local morning and midday news programming (the name of the news presenter was Devon Walsh; the name of the weather reporter was John Nodar) talking about a plan for the main channel to have a local news program at 9:00 a.m. on a regular basis from Monday through Friday beginning on the Monday of March 30th (the weather reporter even said this was the "first step" in a plan to expand WKRG-TV's local news programming).
