News for Friday, March 27th, 2015
- According to today's edition of WPMI-TV's local morning news program ("Local 15 Today"), their new reporter named Katie Emer (or Katie Herrera, as she was called) was given the position of field reporter for the program since the last person to hold it was promoted recently (the name of the previous field reporter for the program was Stephen Quinn).
- The new reporter for WPMI-TV mentioned in the previous paragraph was given a formal welcome and introduction on today's edition of their local morning news program.

One of the weather reporters for WALA-TV mentioned the recent death of a former weather reporter and feature reporter for WKRG-TV during one of the weather segments for this past Thursday's edition of WALA-TV's local 9:00 p.m. news program ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") on March 26th since he used to work with him as an intern for WKRG-TV (the name of the weather reporter for WALA-TV was Jason Smith; the name of the one for WKRG-TV was Jere Hough).

WALA-TV had an edition of the syndicated TV game show "Jeopardy!" pre-empted by local news programming for about a minute in their overall programming this past Thursday since one of the news presenters for the local news program that usually preceded "Jeopardy!" in their overall programming for Monday through Friday ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") did not finish presenting details pertaining to its "special report" about a tax referendum expected to take place in Baldwin County, Alabama next Tuesday, March 31st, by the time they usually had the beginning of an edition of "Jeopardy!" in their overall programming from Monday through Friday (the news program was interrupted by the opening sequence for "Jeopardy!" for about a second before the pre-emption at 6:00 p.m.).
